Hello again, friends.
It feels like a pretty strange time to launch a website about the wonderful and interesting people I’ve played golf with.
But maybe you’re like me—after hours and hours of news coverage that breaks my heart, I could use a few minutes to remind myself that there are good people out there. If so, I know just the place for you.
Nizedays.com is the new home of my writing! For the next few weeks, I’ll be posting a new profile every week. After that, the cadence will slow to every other week, as a lot more goes into these, production-wise, than Will’s Dumb Brain.
Here’s a short sample of my first profile:
Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with parents who ran a little Italian-American restaurant, the world of country clubs and private courses was about as far away as the television writing career he would eventually build in California–but that was okay. Golf wasn’t about pristine greens, exclusive memberships, or a locker with your name on it. Golf, for Steve, was about spending time with his dad.
If you’d like to read more, head over to Nizedays.com, where you’ll find more about what the project is, my first profile, and ways to get in touch.
Hope you like it, hope you’re taking care of yourselves and those you love in these tumultuous times, and I hope you find your fairway, wherever that may be.
