I’m so sorry! You’ve inherited your hot-ness from my side of the family. That’s why your dad and I always go to some frigid location on vacation. A Caribbean island? Too hoooot! Palm Springs? Too hoooot! The Arctic? Ahhhhhhhh!

Early in our marriage my partner, a woman you know, dressed like some sort of devout and shy Amish lass with a circulation problem - a Lanz flannel nightgown, socks and a sweatshirt, under multiple blankets. I, on the other hand, dressed like I had malaria. Boxers and a t-shirt with often only the thinnest blanket. Weird. And even weirder when you think she grew up in sunny, hot California and I grew up in the often frozen tundra of Wisconsin. And then, at some point in the relationship our metabolisms did a Freaky Friday and now it's almost the reverse. But I would agree with your observation about feeling habitually more chilled being the better option. For both of us, there's nothing better than going to sleep in a room that feels cold to both of us and burrowing into a pile of blankets for warmth. Soooo nice. Until you have to get up.
