Well first of all, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. Appropriately, PAPER is the material for first anniversary gifts. Next, I think the subjects you come up with are vastly more original than any topic I might suggest.... you know, like who was your favorite teacher or do you prefer dogs or cats? Carryon Will!
THANK YOU ! I look forward to this every week. I find you witty smart funny and poignant ( in large part because you think like me and it’s affirming😎). Seriously keep up the great work you brighten our days and you never know - another year or two this could end up as a book titled “the ramblings of a madman” or something like that…
I'd love to read more about how to forge an authentic medieval sword out of a stop sign because they seem too thin to...wait a minute, were you being sarcastic there? This font makes everything look the same. I guess I wouldn't mind an exploration of why you don't like the Beatles. Or why it's hard for your generation to watch black and white movies. But other than that, I love discovering what's on your mind every week and being almost continually delighted by it (yes, there were one or two early on that were...shall we say, growing pains... but man, since then you have set the bar nice and high and kept clearing it, week after week. And this week's honest, open, and as always, funny, discussion of why you started it, as well as your shout out to the fans is just another example. Writers get better by writing and you are a walking, talking, writing example of that. Signed, a total stranger who is not your dad at all.
I love reading this column every week! It really brightens up Tuesday afternoons. If I didn’t like it wouldn’t read it and tell you I had. “very nice, honey”. I’m just that kind of mother.
Well, Will: The best advice I can give you is to keep it personal, in terms of being one of your generations ambassador to the rest of your readers. I don't mean detailing your quirks and fetishes: There's enough of that on the web already. More like how you perceive the world around you through your personal lens, eg: what's funny or not, or how you interact with the megalopolis you inhabit (I've found it an interesting place to visit, but almost as desirable residence as Siberia). As long as you're having fun, or learning something valuable for yourself, it beats all hell out of sitting around watching soap operas until Covid Omega finally passes.
What about the how society may be forever changed by the likely permanent absence of human physical interaction ( handshakes, hugs, European kisses on both cheeks) caused by the pandemic?
I personally don't think this will happen, otherwise it would have happened during one of the many other pandemics throughout human history. We shook hands before the Spanish flu of 1918, and we shook hands in February 2020. I think we'll get back to it once things get to a new normal.
I love you and WDB! I think you should write about your strong feelings about eating after brushing your teeth or running within 3 hours of eating
Hahaha! You know him so well!! ❤️
Outline the screenplay about a male protagonist just trying to find his way in the world.
"He was a really cool guy, with cool hair. He loved explaining crypto currency and the block chain to women. They found it irresistible."
I'm pretty sure I've read them all. I wouldn't miss it!
Clearly your brain is not as dumb as you think! So many of your weekly rants hit home. Keep it up and keep me laughing -please!

I hope you're right but unfortunately I see a whole paradigm possibly emerging. Regardless, probably not subject matter for a future blog.
Superstitions and your thoughts on them! And perhaps conspiracy theories as well.
