Years ago a well known actor/director (I’m not going to name him because he irritated the hell out of me on several occasions) offered an observation I have come to believe is, if not true, pretty damn close to ipso facto. He said, “If you want to create a hit show, put a dog in it.” Well, the same holds true for substack pieces. Deeee-lightful!
Our Golden Retriever, Molly, was the the most love-giving creature that ever lived. She never met a stranger she didn't offer a chew toy to. When someone entered the house she would run to them squealing and turning circles on the floor while her tail wagged like an airplane propeller. When we had to put her down, she licked the hand of the vet as he carried out his task. She's been gone for over 20 years and our friends still talk about her. Quite a legacy, I'd say!
I grew up with cats because dogs were too much trouble. Ha! My cat is such a pain in the ass whereas Sophie is such a honey. Now I’m totally a dog person!
I’ve never had a dog of my own, but I’ve been dog sitting for the last ten years and German Shepards are def my favorite. I can’t wait to have one of my own :D
You know Will, I think that your girlfriend’s mother would be delighted to gift Edgar (AKA Crazy Eddie) to the two of you. Available now!

Our sweet, smart, Shi tzu passed few years ago. His ashes are still in our closet. He wonders why we haven't scattered him yet. So do I.
Ahhhhhh… i fondly remember Matilda. She was quite a lovable, perhaps eccentric dog. And Sophie is a sweetie.
Edgar says thank you🖤💩

There’s never really a good time to plug your dog’s IG handle, but go ahead and follow @justbeanachug … wow, who have I become?
