Don't give up on the writing dream! But if you do, it's never too late to become a PGA Tour pro. At this rate, I'm convinced you could be battling it out with Collin Morikawa by 2030.
Staying the course and looking at alternatives are not mutually exclusive. Look into other opportunities with the intent to make a choice that looks to offer the best future be it writing or something else. By the way, you and your significant other always have the option to move in with your parents.
I love this! Of course I do. Because it's honest, and heartfelt, and mixes sadness and humor in a way that creative people (even those who weren't Jews!) have done for millennia. And that combination of gifts and perspective will lead you to success, one way or another. This I believe!
Strikes are tough but not never ending. You love what you do. Look at this as a rough patch that soon will be in the past if you can. I want to see a film you have written after experiencing your most entertaining writing here. I love reading your things.
Thanks Will. I feel confident like I did a lifetime ago in 1980 when there was also a strike. Some of my family members are not working but joining the strike hopefully this will end by winter. Union Strong 💪
Will, DO NOT STOP WRITING! You've a wonderful and creative gift with a sensational left-handed bent(my favorite). The strikes won't last forever and you're doing everything you can to sustain until an agreement is reached.
You have already found the first rung of success. Plus, you do have real talent. I say this having read your stuff. The strike will only provide you more opportunities coming out of it. You hopefully won't have to become part of the writer's gig ecomony, and instead will continue getting success as a writer and solely one. Having moved from another profession to this crazy business, I can only say welcome to the world of the occasional existential crisis.
Be yourself! Keep at what you love and stand up for what you believe it—just as you are! Karma is real and yours will get back in the groove. Keep these missives pouring out. We love them
WGA,SAF-AFTRA STRONG!!!
Heck yeah! Thanks for the support!
Can’t edit this post. I meant SAG-AFTRA
The good thing is that you are smart, funny, well bred, adorable and have great taste in girlfriends. Whatever you choose, please don’t stop writing!
I completely agree...on my great taste in girlfriend!

If only I could somehow get paid for writing AND golf...
Easy. Keep hustling your friends on the links.

If you were hoping for a "like" with this comment, from ANYONE, I'm afraid you're going to be very disappointed.
Great advice, thank you, Harry! Not sure about moving in with my parents again but they ARE nice folks
I guess my future is not in comedy writing.
Also look forward to the "tags on t-shirts" blog. Right with you on that one.
I just have to figure out the other like 497 words of that blog and it basically writes itself

well, thank you! I did have a feeling you'd like it based on the fact we like 95% of the same things!
Keep writing Will. Over and out.
Thank you, Lee!

I'd love to see that too! Thanks Judy!

Love the confidence! I'm gonna try to steal some of that for myself!
Hang in there.
Doing my best! You all make it slightly easier!
