I think a caftan for formal situations would work beautifully! No tight collars or fitted jackets. Hell, no pants either!

Damn, this one had me laughing out loud multiple times, and yes, I wrote it out because that kind of work deserves more than an "lol". And even though fellow follower Judy Crown's marriage survived her 111 degree inferno, Irina and her hubby survived a mini Siberia, and my bride and I made it through a surprisingly muggy LA June wedding, I will still be fasting and praying on Yom Kippur in the hopes that WDB and his wonderful partner have a more benign experience!

When we got married on Sept 4 1988, we had an outdoor wedding at the Sportsman’s Lodge in Sherman Oaks. Thank goodness the reception was inside (!not that helped much). The temp was 111, the highest temp for Sherman Oaks ever! The record still stands! We had fun, got through it and survived all these years! That is LA from time to time😊

Oh man. We attended weddings in Louisiana and Texas this summer. Very fun, but very sweaty. At some point, you just have to embrace the moisture. Although I do feel bad for the Black Tux employee who had to receive my damp rental return after the event.
