For me, I have always hoped the kids would sleep extra and take naps! The peace and quiet is just as restful and having your quiet space is worth a million! I noted you didn’t mention meditation which may give you the reset you look for without waking up from your nap in a fog, just sayin!

I'm a big proponent of the 26-minute nap. Not 15... not 30... It's gotta be 26. They always seem to get the job done in a pinch. Can also confirm that siestas are the best. Back when I lived in Madrid for a semester in college, those wondrous afternoon slumbers would consistently feature some of my most vivid dreams.

I like to stay up late and watch movies. Without a good nap I'd never make it. It's a mystery to me, how in my youth, I was able to stay up late without a good nap or maybe that's why I got nothing done in study hall.

Napping is also wasted on the young. There is no such thing as a bad nap
